C is for "City Kitty" by LolaLynn

The first painting I ever sold was in high school. It was a city scape. At the time I lived in New Jersey and my bedroom window faced the New York City skyline. I loved looking out upon its ever changing appearance. I'm still spellbound when I view it - whether going over a bridge or on the glide path into the airport.

City Kitty captures a glimpse of the New York City skyline. Not necessarily a realistic view but front and center is the Empire State Building and off to the left, more to the background is the Citicorp Building. The black building behind the kitty is the U.N.. All these buildings are on the Eastside in Midtown. While we lived in Manhattan I saw the landmarks on a regular basis. How very fortunate I feel to have had the chance to live in such a fabulous place.

City Kitty is a print of my original acrylic ACEO painting. Printed on card stock, each card is hand embellished with acrylic paint to give it that personal touch. The 2.5 x 3.5 inch art card will come signed on the front and back and is marked "hand embellished print" and comes in a clear plastic protective card sleeve.

10% will be donated to EFA's charity of the month.

C is for Canine Coat by SturmDM

C stands for canine (or doggy) coat.

This brightly colored doggy sweater will keep your pet not only warm, but safe. It will make him/her easy to see. I like the fiery colors that will also look good for autumn, but in any case, it could be worn year-round to fend off a chill.

I crocheted this little sweater/coat using red, yellow, orange and brown acrylic worsted weight yarn, then added two matching yellow buttons on either side for closure and for a little bit of style - and luck - I sewed on a pretty ladybug.
This coat is for small dogs as seen on the picture. It fits a little snug on my Pekingese, Gizzy, because he has a lot of hair, but it fits my neighbor's little Shih Tzu perfectly and she was such a patient little model. Thank you, Mitzi! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=12691093

Once I begin to get sales, I plan on donating 10% to Penn State University for Honey Bee Research. The website I use is http://www.helpthehoneybees.com/ . I like that website because it's very informative and very userfriendly and colorful, a great site for the whole family to visit and learn from.

C is for Sea Cow by bluecicada

The title for my piece is "Gentle Giants." Sea cows, or manatees, are truly wonderful creatures; here in Florida we are treated with their gentle presence when they gather in the warm water of the natural springs during the winter months. "Gentle Giants" was created and carved on a linoleum block and hand printed on paper. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13749425

20% of this sale will go to my favorite charity: http://www.careforcows.org/

It’s a natural wood finish with a VERY LARGE and HAPPY GRAY CAT on top and a very small gray cat on the bottom. Just for a little color variation, there’s a brown cat on the side. It has 2 hangers on the back. 50% of this item will go to the EFA charity of the month.

C is for...Calcium! BooksByBexx August Challenge

Everyone should pay attention the their calcium consumption, but vegans and vegan women in particular need to keep a closer watch on their daily intake.

According to the National Institute of Health, 78% of women over 20 don't consume enough calcium on a daily basis. Calcium is essential for bone strength, proper blood clotting, muscle and nerve functions.

This pocket sized book entitled "How I Get My Calcium" contains a short list of dairy-free calcium sources, the amount of calcium per serving, and % daily value. Also included is information on how much calcium the average person needs each day, and a list of resources on vegetarian and vegan nutrition.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, home to Dylan, a cow rescued from a dairy farm.

The book comes in 3 colors - red, blue, and green, and is available in hardback or paperback format. For more information, visit BooksByBexx's etsy shop at http://www.thisisbexx.etsy.com/

C is for Cockadoodledoo

This rooster is in the memory of my mom Selma (Johnson) Meier who just loved animals, flowers and people. She was well loved by all and she left a good example of what gentle love without question is by giving and never having anyone feel left out. Dad was the same way. The world would be a better place if people lived by, "The Golden Rule", by example as she was.

I love you mom.

This image is also available in 18 x 24, 11 x 17 and 8 1/2 x 11 print sizes.

C is for Cats Cuddling - by EndlessWhimsy

This is a note card with a matte photo of Stoli, my Russian Blue and Luxor, my Egyptian Mau - hugging! This photo was featured on the UK blog Daily Pets and our own Etsy Storque. The photo is printed on professional photo paper and is permanently attached with photo safe craft glue. The photo is signed and dated by moi with black pigment ink that is photo safe, acid free, archival, lightfast and waterproof; in other words - never-gonna-go-away ink!

You may be asking yourself, "why would I want a photo of someone else's cat?" Well, first of all - you must like cats if you are looking at this listing, and if you like cats you gotta realize that getting a shot like this is a 'once in a lifetime shot'. It's hanging on my wall - they had just had a rough-and-tumble then kicked back for some winks.

The photo is attached to a white blank note card (4" by 5 3/8"), made out of premium quality paper that is acid free. Note card comes with a matching white envelope.

They provide refuge, comfort, and medical attention to cats and kittens that have been surrendered, abandoned, injured, or abused, and find loving homes to adopt them.

C is for "Cherished Bloom Cards" by EnsorcelledMinds

Most of my shop items are C's - CARDS! I made this one with a "C" sentiment for the August Team Challenge. Summer is a popular time for weddings and romance because people are getting out. It's a feel-good, happy time that just makes people want to "C"onnect with each other. I made this set with that in mind.

You can view the item in my Etsy store at:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13430197

50% of the proceeds from the sale of this card will go to the the Canadian Wildlife Federation - the EFA International Charity for August: http://www.cwf-fcf.org/en/

Ensorcelled Minds Inc. is a handmade greeting card and paper art company *from scraps to smiles*.

I support a local animal rescue called S.O.A.R. - Southern Ontario Animal Rescue (SOAR) is a charity run by a small group of volunteers that rescues all breeds of dogs. There is a small section in my shop from which a portion of the sales will go to SOAR. In addition, I have started running small beginner card making workshops to benefit the charity.

My true passion is fabric because of the endless variety textures and prints but I am hopeless with it! So I turned to paper which, I find, often takes its colour and print clues from the fashion industry. Plus, for something that is 2D, you can get a surprising variety of texture from it! I have been a paper addict from childhoold and a scrapbooker for eight years. Card-making is are a great outlet for me when my scrapbooking projects start to feel too daunting!

C is for.....Carp

I make resin jewellery, and use inclusions such as polymer clay fruit, dollshouse miniatures and recycled fabrics. My entry is a miniature pink spotty fish (don't know if it's a trout or a carp, or what particular type of fish it is!) in a circle of clear resin with iridescent beads for bubbles! It comes boxed and on white organza ribbon with clasp to fasten it around your neck.

$2 will be donated to the Retired Greyhound Trust for each item, but if EFA is mentioned with payment, I will donate $4.

I support the Retired Greyhound Trust as they provided a lot of free medical treatment for my adopted greyhound last year before we officially took her in. It is their way of encouraging people to adopt dogs that would otherwise be overlooked at rehoming centres due to the level of veterinary care needed in some cases. She is now happy and healthy, and this is my way of repaying them.
