Links for Charity Clicking

Michele (mvegan5) has collected some links to help EFA-ers raise funds for charity. Some you may know others may be less familiar. Check them out - it may be just a click to you - it could be a lifeline for an animal in need. If you are in the US you will find the news about the wolves of particular importance.

Experience Project: Play to Save Dogs
Provide food to abandoned (and often abused) dogs and cats just by playing the trivia game.

Help the Wolves in Yellowstone!!!
The Bush/Cheney administration has just eliminated federal protections for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, opening the door to the slaughter of hundreds of America's most beloved wolves. Click HERE!!

Click to Donate Here:
Please click here as often as you can to help animals, the rainforest, the hungry, literacy.

Check the Etsy for Animals forums every now and then to meet other efaers and to promote your shop, animal charities. The Search is HERE .

AWBAR needs you!

Mishkat published the following appeal on the EFA Yahoo group. Can any sellers help? One small item from your store? Please read on :

"AWBAR is Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue in Lockport, Illinois. We rehabilitate raccoons, squirrels, opossums, rabbits, ducks, small birds, and other small animals. Since we rely solely on private donations, we would be grateful for any donations from Etsy artists to help raise money to help offset the expenses of raising and releasing wildlife in 2008 – including food, shelter, and vet bills. 100% of the proceeds from your item donation will be used to fund our wildlife rescue.

If you'd like to donate an item to be sold in the AWBAR shop on Etsy, please contact me through the AWBAR shop or by e-mail at abandonedwildbabiesrescue [!at] hotmail.com. I will need photos and a description for each donated item, including title, suggested price, tags, materials, sizes and dimensions, and estimated shipping. I will credit your shop in both the item description and in the AWBAR shop announcement.
For more information, please convo me! To learn more about AWBAR, read our shop profile or visit our website .
Thank you so much!

Amanda and Ringer!

A simple way to help animals

This was posted on the EFA Yahoo group recently by Heather, and I thought it would be helpful to post it here. You can register to receive a reminder to click every day and help a variety of causes including, for EFA-ers, animals at The Animal Rescue Site. I have been doing this for upwards of two years now and do not receive any junk mail or spam as a result - not one single thing. Be reassured you help, you don't get bothered.

There are also advertisers whose stuff you might actually want to read about or see - more focussed and helpful not the irrelevant splatter gun approach. Michele also pointed me towards another helpful link Here. These things take a minute to do, and make more than a minutes difference.

Heather's quote :-

"Hi, all you animal lovers. The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

EFA Seller tag information

For those who help EFA, Michele has some helpful information about a new tag for your items.

Michele says :-

"Wanted to let you know of a new reccomended tag for your item listings. For items that give 100% to animal charity, it will be great to tag with "donation" and you can always tag any of your items with "efa" and "animals" and "charity" if they pertain. Its great to spread the word about efa in your shop, you can add to your intro and/or profile: "Etsy for Animals (efa): etsyforanimals.com and if you have want: "Etsy for Animals Shop: 100% to the Animals: etsyforanimals.etsy.com". Everyone's shop info, etsy mini, and charities should be up on our website now, so by promoting efa you are promoting yourself and your favorite animal charities too."
