EFA Stocking Stuffers
There is a whole range of new stuff coming online at the EFA store, quicker than we can blog it here. This is, in a strange way, good news as it means sellers are opening their hearts faster than we can type - but the stuff is going up FAST and selling for, for November's Charity of the Month this is great news!
This treasury gives you a small idea of the kidn fo things the EFA store has ready and waiting for the Holiday season AND for passing trade during the EFA Treasure Hunt on 17th and 18th November.
That's right THIS WEEK-END!!!!!!!

Black And Blue All Over
These great items have been donated to the etsyforanimals shop by various artists.
The first item is a Beautiful Blackened Necklace by Evod.
Naidascrochet sells unique crocheted items and gifts, including custom orders.
Retro Black is Back - Bracelet and Earrings Set by toeachhisown

This sleek bracelet and earring set is perfect for all of those holiday parties that are coming up. Made up of black, glass beads and silver spacer beads, the earrings are about 2 cm long and the bracelet is 21 cm (8 in) with the extention. It's 6 1/2 inches long without the extention (about 17 cm long).
Toeachhisown has a number of jewelry pieces to meet anyone's style. Every piece of jewelry is shipped out in a pillow box with a pink ribbon tied around it. So if it's a gift, it's ready to give.. Or if it's for you, it'll make your day.
And finally here are Splashing Dolphin Earrings by corgicreations. These playful earrings are about 2" long with beautiful glass dolphin leverback earrings with swarovski crystals. Simply adorable!
Corgicreations owner, Nicole, says "I began making jewelry because I was spending far too much money in my friends' etsy shops purchasing their jewelry. I have always loved color and have always loved to design."
Be sure to stop and shop at the etsyforanimals store and while you are there, be sure to add us as a favorite!!

Etsy for Animals Treasure Hunt - Sellers Notice
From WHKSR and Tantalizingstiches:
Etsy for Animals is planning a Special Promotion and we need the
help of our EFA Sellers to make it a big success.
What:
EFA is recruiting sellers to take part in a Treasure
Hunt to encourage sales before the Christmas Holidays. This will
consist of a simple clue left in each store to be found by
visiting 'hunters'. First one to find a set number wins the goody
basket with spot prizes for the unusual names that will be hidden,
and found, first.
Seller's Response:
We need your agreement to take part - and
brief item donation details- Only by Monday, November 12 midnight
Etsy Time(i.e. the time in New York City) - we will try to
accomodate late comers. It's important we get an idea for seller
numbers to administer the treasure hunt.
When:
The treasure hunt will be on the 17/18th of November,
the weekend before Thanksgiving.
How:
Particpating stores donate an item and become part of
the Treasure Hunt. Each store will be given a short text clue to
hide either in their store front page or the text of one of their
store's 'Featured Items', let's not make this too easy! Buyers will
be encouraged to collect a number of names from the stores and the
winner will be the first person to collect a given number of names.
What do I do now?:
If you what to take part email us at
efapromo@gmail.com with TREASURE HUNT in the subject line. We will
be in touch very soon with further announcements and details,
including where to send the donated prizes.
Thanks,
Majorie (WHSKR) and El (Tantalizing Stitches)

This Stuff Is For The Birds.......
WOW...Take a look at this line up...
Our first creation is the biggest star of November. This set of 3 Turkey Cards by mvegan5 (our very own star!) has vibrant, autumn colors featuring a photo of a painting by mvegan5.
The cards are 5"x7" are cream colored and blank inside signed by the artist. Mvegan5's Cards, Paintings, Prints, and Vintage Component Jewelry are inspired by nature and animals.
Next we have a small framed watercolor titled, "Chiquito" by thecitylover.
An adorable little yellow chick on blue, with a white border, is under glass in a brass colored frame. It measures 2.5" x 3", Circa 1983 - 1985 by Rocio PindterSan Miguel De Allendeof Guanajuato Mexico.THECITYLOVER's Etsy Shop is also known as the city. At the city you will find an eclectic mix of vintage and on occasion, my humble art.
Explore the city, you never know what you'll find!
Next we have a charming necklace, Kissing Swallow Birds by pulpsushi.

So pretty in pink.....This necklace features a vintage fuschia lucite swallow birds hanging from an 18 inch silver finish ball chain. Birds measure 2.5 inches in width.
Pulpsushi says:
I started in June 2006 after being inspired by my creative friends to get off my toosh and bring my ideas to life. It started with marble magnets, notebooks, jewelry, and hair accessories. Through some inspiration, I found new and fun ways to express myself and at the same time, provide some kitschy cuteness to others. I'm always looking for funky charms and beads for necklaces and earrings to make so there is plenty to go around!
And our final feathered friend is this stunning work of art, titled Great Egret by art2artcolorado. The painting is 11" x 14" created with Acrylic on Paper-Collaged Premium Canvas. Art2artcolorado has captured the beauty and grace of the great egret in bright colors and pastel tones. This portrait is ready to frame.
A bit about art2artcolorado: Art2ArtColorado has a variety of progressive artwork ranging from digital painting & collage, mixed media work, paintings on canvas and 3D aceo's.

Be sure to stop in at the etsyforanimals shop and see all of the items, pick something up and know that you are helping DART, a mobile command post and emergency response team for disaster situations, such as fires or earthquakes. In response to the devastating fires in Malibu and throughout Southern California, spcaLA's Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) has leapt into action!
Cyn does us proud again!

EFA are featured in another Treasury. All this is good news as it raises our profile in the run up to our Treasure Hunt on the 17th and 18th of November.
Don't forget, if you are a seller who has already sent something for the EFA goody bag promotion, this can be utilised as part of the EFA prize draw.
We have got some good responses so far from our Street Team, don't forget you have until midnight Monday Etsy Time to get yourself involved by emailing us at efapromo@gmail.com !!

Coloraudia: store spotlight

Coloraudia has recently donated a cute little red cat magnet, which recently sold.
A little tidbit about Coloraudia from the artist:
I make all kinds of crafts and like to work with different materials - polymer clay, crochet, papier mache, paper, paintings, etc. I make many cat related things - my most popular items are my polymer clay cats - and cats is what the money is for... All the money I make from my crafts is destined to spay and neuter street and abandoned cats!
You can see our work (me and some friends rescuing group) in this blog - http://bichanosdoporto.blogspot.com/ (in portuguese)

dangerousmezzo: Store Spotlight

Canadian artist Nina Scott-Stoddart sells her original collage artwork at Etsy under the name dangerousmezzo. Trained in both the visual arts and music, Nina's principal career has been in opera as a performer, director and producer, but art is a pretty close second! Nina has been an animal lover all her life, having shared that life with cats, dogs, horses, birds and fish, exemplars of which creep into her art. She is a volunteer at her local animal shelter, and she is happy to be part of the important work of EFA.
Nina has recently donated this ACEO entitled "Nelly Bly" - its a reproduction of a small, yellow bird has been combined with antique and modern papers and music and text from a mid-twentieth-century children's songbook.

Recent Arrivals Roundup
We are getting a steady stream of merchandise from Street Team members donated to the etsyforanimals shop. Last month we raised $600+++ for our charity of the month and with help now needed in California it's great to see so many of the Street Team fighting our corner for November.
I would like to feature a small handful below. Click through each link for full details of the item donated.
This Ladybug Necklace from nancyrose is a great stocking filler or thank you gift for a friend, it's fun and pretty, or how about these "I Got Butterflies" earrings by reindeergirl with Swarovski crystals in gorgeous colours. Again, another present that won't break the bank but so nice and delicate!
This next one is a real favourite for the handbag girls, the versatile Randolph Pouch by crankheartpony. It's made of a chocolatey brown vintage look fabric with pink, yellow, cream, orange, and hot pink flowers. It has a tab on the side that you can loop a bracelet, keyring, or chain, through.

EFA November Charity Supports S. California Fire Victims
Don't forget all the animals that are now homeless due to the Southern California fire. For that reason, EFA has decided to forgo the usual random drawing of the Charity of the Month and opted to choose one from Southern California.
After much investigation, the SPCA DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) was chosen.
DART is spcaLA’s mobile command post and emergency response team for disaster situations, such as fires or earthquakes. In response to the devastating fires in Malibu and throughout Southern California, spcaLA's Disaster Animal Response Team (DART) has leapt into action! The DART program consists of an equipped mobile command center, portable kenneling, horse trailers, field rescue vehicles and trained staff and volunteers. All spcaLA programs are made possible by donations.
So take a look at EFA members by doing a tag search for "EFA". Also, check out the EFA store where all items have been generously donated by animal supporters and all proceeds less transaction expenses for the month of November will be donated to the SPCA DART.

Request from CozyCats
The following appeal by cozycats has appeared in the forums at Etsy and I wondered if any pet owner has experience of this or knows anyone who has. I will let cozycats speak for herself :-
"I'm a freelance writer in my "day" job. My current assignment is an ebook about pet separation anxiety. I need to include some experiences that real pet owners have had with PSA. So, if you have experienced PSA with a pet please tell me your story! I don't guaranty that I'll use every one, and of course I'll change the names or you can use whatever names you want when you tell the story to protect your privacy. TIGGERBONN BON-BARS: Store Spotlight

TIGGERBONN, also known as Bon-Bars, has donated several chocolate soaps to the EFA store. In fact, they have been such a great hit that they sell almost instantaneously.
A little bit about BON-BARS from the artist:
I started making soap in 8/01 as a project with my God-daughter, became obsessed, started selling and the rest is history. The glycerin soaps contain no animal ingredients -no animal testing either. I make soaps for several different interests and a lot for kid's. My nieces and nephews love them and they are my official "kid testers" for fragrances ! My shop is also family friendly, so feel free to visit with your child (or pet) on your lap !
