1. Tell the IUCN Not to Delist Sea Turtles
New data shows that more than 15,000 leatherback sea turtles have been found nesting in west Africa, which has lead some to talk about removing them from the endangered species list. While these populations are up, the global population has declined ten percent.
Sign the petition asking the IUCN not to delist leatherback sea turtles.
2. Stop Breed Discrimination in Loup City, Nebraska
Loup City currently has a ban on Pit bulls, Rottweilers and Doberman Pinschers, but citizens against Breed Specific Legislation are fighting to change that.
Sign the petition asking the city to lift the ban.
3. Tell Harvard to Stop Experimenting on Marmosets
Harvard Medical School has a track record of primate care that is embarrassing at best and disgustingly cruel and negligent at worst. Now, it's using marmosets in cruel procedures to study human aging, despite the fact that information from population studies and clinical trials is readily available and more accurate.
Send a letter to Harvard's New England Primate Research Center requesting that they stop this study and retire the remaining marmosets to a sanctuary.
