1. Help Save Bees
For the past five years, honeybee populations have dropped by a third going from 4.5 million to 860,000. The use of pesticides has been detrimental to bees, especially neonicotinoid pesticides, which are 7,000 times more toxic than DDT. Instead of banning manufacturing, the EPA has decided to put it “under review” for the next five years.
Sign the petition asking the EPA to halt the production of neonicotinoid immediately.

2. Protect Endangered Florida Manatees
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed a refuge for endangered manatees in King’s Bay, FL, using provisions from the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Manatees used to spend only winters in King’s Bay, but they’ve started using it year round and are in need of protection. While the proposal still allows recreational use of King’s Bay, the FWS is receiving opposition.
Submit a comment to the FWS in support of a refuge that will protect manatees year round.

3. Don’t Let Sharks Become Extinct
Sharks have been swimming in oceans for millions of years and while we may think they’re a threat, we pose an even bigger threat to them. Sharks are being fished out of the water faster than they can reproduce and reach maturity, where they serve a vital role as top predators, yet U.S. fishermen are still allowed to kill sharks that are considered vulnerable.
Sign the petition telling Fisheries to create new regulations that will protect shark species before it’s too late.
