1. Truck Stop Tiger Still Needs Some Help
You probably heard about Tony the Truck Stop Tiger in Grosse Tete, La.. After years of trying, the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) recently won his freedom in court, but the permit that allows his owner, Michael Sandlin, to keep him was not immediately revoked. Instead it will expire in December when the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will decide his fate. However, the LDWF has the authority to revoke Sandlin’s permit whenever they want.
Sign and share the ALDF’s petition asking the LDWF to revoke Sandlin’s permit immediately and get Tony the medical attention and freedom he deserves.

In 206, the Bronx zoo said it would phase out its elephant program and start supporting conservations in Africa and Asia instead. They could now choose to send their three remaining elephants – Happy, Patty and Maxine – to a sanctuary that would better suit their needs. Even actress Lily Tomlin has gotten involved.
Send a letter to the Bronx Zoo telling to send these three girls to a sanctuary.

Iceland is one of the last countries to continue whaling, flouting the moratorium on commercial whaling set forth by the International Whaling Commission (IWC), despite the fact that they’re no longer making a profit. The U.S. could take a stand against whaling by using economic sanctions under the Pelly Amendment.
Sign the petition asking the secretary of commerce to take a stand against whaling and impose trade sanctions.
