White Dolphin Eco-Friendly Baby T-Shirt by curlymonkey
Ooooh this is so CUTE!!!!!!
Read curlymonkey's statement about her children's clothes, it reflects her positive commiment to a healty environment and safe clothes for kids: "The T-shirt you are buying is part of the 1st collection of curlymonkey for baby and kids. It is a limited edition of my first dolphin design, printed on a super soft backstage tee from Alternative Apparel. I work with eco friendly water based inks and super soft cotton, mostly organic."
This means that this sweet little tshirt is doing its best to be healthy for little 'uns to wear. It's for a child aged 12-18 months and if you buy this for someone you know you are giving the environment, and the future of all our kids, a better chance.
Three cheers for curlymonkey and a whole heap of thanks from EFA, and the environment, for this generous helping hand.

"Thank You" Spotlight
Etsy for Animals relies on the goodwill of a great many people to raise funds, raise its profile, and keep it in visible in Treasuries and the Forum. I would like to thanks some of these in a series of short posts over the next few days, and, if you would like to draw our attention to other hard working Etsians who are supporting EFA, get in touch!
midnightrabbits is from Cardiff, Wales with her partner, 6 cats and three dogs (all rescues). She gives 10% of her profits to animal charities. Here's a quote that sums up her conscience and her commitment to animals "I am Vegan and want to show the world that non animal garments and accessories can be fabulous. I love finding different fabrics that suit my criteria."

naidascrochet: store spotlight
Naidascrochet has recently donated this cute and wonderful Morning Dew Coffee Cup Cozie to the EFA store.
A little tid bit about naidascrochet from the artist:
All of my items are crocheted in a smoke free, crochet happy, loving home. I love to take custom orders.
I'm 30 years old, a wife, a mom of 2, and a crochet addict. I crochet nearly every day and hoard yarn and patterns like a mad woman. Crocheting is my obsession.
I've been crocheting since I was 14 years old. I love making just about anything with my crochet hook and yarn. It's like yoga for me and I find it very relaxing.
Visit my blog for more information about me or my store.
A purchase at naidascrochet supports the animals.

pattihaskins: store spotlight
pattihaskins recently donated one of her Big Mouth Cat Little Pillow to the EFA Store, which has recently sold.
A little tid bit about the artist and the pattihaskins shop:
Everything I make is inspired by living with six cats and three dogs, all rescues. A day doesn't go by that they don't make me smile. Therefore, I have a hard time making "serious" art. When you're surrounded by goofy creatures, goofiness seems to rule your creative output. . . or at least its that way for me. I hope that my work will make people smile the way my critters make me smile: the world needs more smiles.

Etsy Team Page ReVamp!!
In case you have not been in the Forums lately, or read The Storque, there have been big improvements to the Etsy Team Page. They are worth a look for everyone involved with Etsy for Animals
I know lots of people would not look at the Team page much as it was not a gripping read or useful for finding anything * BUT * now things are looking up!!
To quote Etsy "Teams are Etsy’s biggest and most creative grassroots engine for support, networking and marketing – for each team member’s shop, for the Teams themselves, and for Etsy as a whole". As a result of this upgrade in recognition, the Team Pages have been given a real shake up and there is a whole bundle of things helpful to Etsy teams that are now much easier to find and use.
There is a listing of all the current teams here, as well as info on starting or joining a team.
There is also a resources section that will be useful to everyone who belongs to a team, such as Etsy for Animals. Here you will find promotion downloads for buttons and badges, flyers and posters, as well as a making buttons video tutorial and stuff for your blog.
A lot of the resource stuff will be great for EFA members to use, making our presence felt, and helping animals with our funding contributions by MAKING SALES!!
There is also a BIG LIST of links for Team members to utilise - ranging from attending craft shows to classes, magazines, how-to's and kits. If you need guidance, inspiration or just a new idea, this is a great place to look.
Finally, Workshops. These are sometimes for Leaders, othertimes for all team members who want to attend. I went to the last one which was where I heard about all the new stuff that was coming up. Keep your eyes open for the open workshops, it's a place to learn a lot about Etsy, and helping OUR Team, Etsy for Animals.

Heads up for EFA Street Team members
I have just got back from an on-line Workshop hosted by Etsy, and there was news that will impact on EFA and every other Teams members.
Reports of Etsy teams have been in The Storque news recently and knowing how important the Teams are and the focus they bring, it was announced that Etsy is bringing in some rolling changes from Friday for the Street Teams; how they are organised on-line, communicated with and promoted.
Etsy is also spearheading a big initiative to encourage more handmade holiday spending. I can do no more than hint with the world 'Pledge'...... although I am sure more rumours will leak out!
This push to things handmade will be done with partners, as yet unrevealed, over the internet and, (maybe) a press campaign. It will be up to all of us to contribute with Etsy Street Teams like Etsy for Animals raising the profile 'off-line' by encouraging our friends and family to 'buy handmade'.
http://team.etsy.com/ The tabs on the Team Etsy page and The Storque are where you will be able to find news this coming Friday, and Etsy see this as a big marketing opportunity for everyone, this means, the EFA store and our own shop windows.

Baby Dolphin by wumpus
A beautiful and thoughtful statement is captured in this elemental little Baby Dolphin created by wumpus in response to the loss of another of the Earth's valuable species, the Yangtzee Dolphin, which was declared Extinct on 12th September 2007.
wumpus tells us : "Made of polymer clay, this pensive dolphin measures 2.25" long, 1" tall and 1" wide, and I glazed her with glitter to cheer her up a little bit."
About wumpus :- "Is that a tombstone watering another tombstone...? A slice of toast? A robot? It's a Wumpus, a magical creature that is curious about all the wonderfully silly things in life, loves to play and vows to never grow up.
When the days get too serious, the wumpus in me begs to jump out and be silly giddy happy. I love hiding out and creating imaginary friends and telling stories about them. They often materialize in the form of drawings, photos, polymer clay creatures, short stories, and live on tee shirts, post cards, stickers, and whatever other crazy stuff I come up with.
I also love taking cell phone photos of random things and they often become beautiful abstract images, a little eerie and mysterious at times. Prints of these photos coming soon...
I also do commissioned work - see Commissioned Work section and convo me."
