1. Save Whales from Deadly Sonar
The Navy has announced plans for testing high-intensity sonar and explosives that will threaten marine mammals on the East Coast, Southern California, Hawaii and the Gulf Coast. The Navy estimates that there will be more than 5,000 cases of serious injuries, in addition to millions of cases of marine mammals being harassed and harmed.
Please send a letter to the Secretary of Defense asking him to direct the Navy to protect marine mammals during training.
2. Tell the New Interior Secretary to Step Up for Wild Horses
With Ken Salazar out the door and Sally Jewell in, there may be hope for our wild horses and burros. Now, animal advocates are uniting to let her know that people are sick of the Bureau of Land Management's mismanagement of wild horses and burros and ask that she bring her appreciation of wildlife and the outdoors to the table to change the direction the program is going.
Please add your name to an open letter to Sally Jewell asking her to protect our wild horses and burros.
3. Ask the USDA to Confiscate Lucky the Elephant from the San Antonio Zoo
Lucky is currently the only solitary female elephant in a zoo, who has been alone since March when her companion Queenie died. Unfortunately, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums approved a request from the zoo to keep her there alone, despite its own guidelines requiring elephants to be kept in groups of three. According to the zoo, she will be forced to remain there alone until she dies.
Please send a letter to the Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to intervene and confiscate Lucky.

THANK YOU !
