1. Speak Up for Wolves in Wyoming Wyoming was exempted from delisting wolves last spring due to a lack of management plan, or really a plan that will allow for the killing of wolves for most of the year without a license. The Fish and Wildlife Service has announced that it will accept Wyoming's proposal this summer and is now taking public comments. Submit a comment to the USFWS telling them to keep federal protection for wolves and not to go forward with Wyoming's wolf management plan. 2. Protect Wildlife from Pipeline Dangers NiSource, a gas company, is asking the USFWS for permission to kill anything in its path, which will be a mile-wide and 15,000 miles long running from New York to Louisiana. Worse, the permit will last 50 years, regardless of the status of threatened and endangered species in the area. The USFWS is taking comments on this ridiculous plan until December 13. Send a letter to the USFWS asking them to deny NiSource's request. 3. Join National Write in Week for Great Apes Various organizations are taking part in a week devoted to telling Congress to end the use of great apes in research. The Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act will end the suffering of these sensitive and intelligent animals, in addition to saving taxpayers millions of dollars annually. Send a letter to your representative asking them to support this historic legislation. Sign the petition supporting this act. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/213/995/151/ Help The Animals Take 1-2-3 Actions Today ! THANKS
