1. Tell Florida to Pass the Animal Rescue Bill

The state of Florida is considering legislation that will require shelters to contact qualified rescues to see if they can take them before euthanizing. A statewide survey of rescue groups in the state "found that 63% of them have been turned away by shelters after offering to save animals and those shelters then turned around and killed the very animals they offered to save." The bill has passed the Senate and will now move onto the House for a vote.

Please sign the petition asking Florida's representatives to pass this important piece of legislation that will save thousands of lives.

2. Seek Maximum Penalty for Bunny Abuser

At the end of January, Debe Bell was found guilty on 35 of 55 charges of animal cruelty for leaving rabbits in filthy conditions with no food or water in high temperatures. Multiple rabbits were found dead and another 200 sick rabbits were seized from her property.

Please sign the petition asking the Jefferson County Court to seek the maximum penalty under the law and ensure that Bell is never allowed to own animals again.

3. Ask the University of Virginia to Stop Using Cats to Teach Med Students

Bob Barker has joined forced with the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine to urge the University of Virginia to stop using cats to teach intubation techniques to students in its pediatric residency program.

Please sign the petition asking UVA to choose a humane alternative and use simulators that have been approved by the American College of Surgeons.
