1. Tell BCBG to Stop Selling Fur In 2008, the clothing company BCBG joined a host of other compassionate designers and pledged to stop selling items made of fur. However, items made of rabbit fur, including ponchos and earmuffs, along with other fur items showed up in its holiday fashion line this year. Sign the petition asking BCBG's CEO Max Azria to stop using fur. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/731/348/826/ 2. Get More Protection for Captive Orcas Wild Orcas that are members of the Southern Resident population are entitled to protection under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), which protects them and other animals from being harmed or harassed. Despite being a member of this population, Lolita has been in solitary confinement at the Miami Seaquarium for over 40 years in violation of the ESA and there has been no explanation about the failure to protect her by the National Marine Fisheries Service. Sign the petition asking the National Marine Fisheries Service to grant ESA protection to captive members of the Southern Resident pod. http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5154/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8789 3. Support New Animal Protection Laws in India Few changes have been made to India's Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, which was passed in 1960. Animal protection groups are concerned that policies are outdated and don't deter cruelty to animals. The Animal Welfare Board has drafted new legislation, but it is competing with an unacceptable version. Send a letter to officials in India asking them to pass the Animal Welfare Act 2011 by the Animal Welfare Board. Help The Animals Take 1-2-3 Actions Today ! THANKS
