Farm Sanctuary operates two shelters, one in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, which is 175 acres, and one near Black Butte Lake in northern California, which is 300 acres. These shelters “rescue, rehabilitate and provide lifelong care for hundreds of animals who have been rescued from stockyards, factory farms, and slaughterhouses.” At these sanctuaries, once deprived animals are nourished back to health and given plenty of food, rest, and wide open spaces in which to roam!

ReplyDeleteI was aware of the other issues but didn't realize animals were used in combat trauma training. Thank you for an excellent article and for all the petitions.
