EFA member Katie of lenoxdesigns is looking for any and all handmade donations for WellPetUSA's Yappy Hour Silent Auction, to be held Friday, December 5, in Oakbrook, Illinois. The auction will benefit WellPetUSA's Meow Bow Wow Fund.
The Meow Bow Wow Fund reimburses pet rescues across the US for their spay/neuter and vaccination costs. These are critical procedures, since animals in rescue cannot be adopted until they are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. All proceeds will go directly to the fund.
For more information on the event, please see http://yappyhour.eventbrite.com/
Katie would like to have all items by Thanksgiving (given the hectic holidays!). Items may be sent directly to her at:

All donators will receive both a thank you letter and a 501c3 tax-exempt letter.
Monetary donations are also welcome since GPA-Tampa Bay has had unexpected veterinary expenses lately. You can donate directly by going to the GPA-Tampa Bay website and using the PayPal link on the left side of the home page.
GPA-Tampa Bay is dedicated to promoting and facilitating the adoption of greyhounds when their racing careers end, and to educate the public about greyhounds and what wonderful pets they can become. GPA cares for the animals from the track to their new homes, using our network of foster homes where loving volunteers help them learn the trials and tribulations of life after the track. GPA Tampa Bay is run entirely by volunteers and depends on fundraising and donations for its operating expenses.
EFA Makes a Special Donation to Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of Minnesota
Last month, I was lucky enough to win the Birthday Bash kickoff raffle. I’m sure everyone always says this, but I never win anything – really! Part of my prize was a $50 donation to the charity of my choice and I picked Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of Minnesota. About six years ago, I adopted a Pekingese from Homeward Bound; she was rescued from a puppy mill where she spent several tough years. About three years later, we went back to Homeward Bound to adopt our second dog, a stray Chihuahua mix. Cricket and Pedro are now good pals (mostly) and spoiled rotten (definitely).
Homeward Bound is a private, nonprofit organization concerned with the welfare of dogs and other animals. They are a no-kill rescue and placement program, dedicated to the sheltering and fostering of homeless and unwanted animals. Homeward Bound has been in existence since 1991 and has rescued over 12,000 dogs, cats, and other animals. They promote responsible adoption and care of companion animals. Homeward Bound does not have a central location; they are foster-based. Please visit their website for more information about this great organization.
My Etsy shops are Kellybot and PequenoPequeno. I donate 10% of profits from both shops to the EFA charity of the month.

APPEAL from Meow or Never: Saving Kittens
Small is beautiful and they don't come smaller than kittens. Its Meow or Never is raising funds to save six kittens from a kill shelter. They are on a mission to raise $25 for each kitten and would welcome your help. it doesn't need to be a whole $25, although that would be GREAT. Any spare cash, change, or whatever you have might help keep a kitten from harm and give it a chance of a good life.
Here's a kitty picture: http://www.itsmeowornever.org/kittensinneed.asp, and here's where you donate if you can find a few dollars in the bottom of your purse or pocket: http://www.itsmeowornever.org/donate.asp. There is an easy to use PayPal donation button, and information about donating in other ways.
