1. Tell AFAR Magazine Not to Support Trapping

This winter, travel magazine AFAR included an article featuring Quebec City that marveled over the pelts of animals killed by a local trapper, while completely ignoring the suffering that is inherent in trapping animals for their fur, in addition to the risks that traps pose to domestic pets and people. 

Please send a letter to the magazine's publishers letting them know that supporting trapping isn't just unacceptable, it's repulsive.

2. Keep Puget Sound Orcas Protected

The National Marine Fisheries Service is considering a petition to remove endangered species protection from a special group of orca whales, known as the Southern Resident Killer Whales, on behalf of farmers who want water from the Sacramento River, which is currently off limits because it's where Chinook salmon live - a main food source for these orcas. 

Please take a minute to submit a public comment on behalf of the Southern Resident Killer Whales who need all the protection they can get. More info here: http://aldf.org/article.php?id=2289

3. Tell the Obama Administration Not to Delist Wolves

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering a proposal that would remove endangered species protection from gray wolves in the lower 48 states, which would turn management decisions over to individual states and we already saw what happened this year with nearly 1,000 killed. 

Please sign the petition asking the Obama administration demanding that wolves retain the federal protection they clearly need.
