C is for Cockadoodledoo
This rooster is in the memory of my mom Selma (Johnson) Meier who just loved animals, flowers and people. She was well loved by all and she left a good example of what gentle love without question is by giving and never having anyone feel left out. Dad was the same way. The world would be a better place if people lived by, "The Golden Rule", by example as she was.
I love you mom.
This image is also available in 18 x 24, 11 x 17 and 8 1/2 x 11 print sizes.
Marilyn is an avid animal lover and has many beautiful animal cards and prints in her shop http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5042539

Good lord it's a treasury attack!!!!
Phew!!! I've just been taking screen shots of a WHOLE BUNCH of EFA treasuries!! Our awesome members have been so busy creating them and EFA really, really appreciates the effort!! :)
A HUGE THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!
Before I start with the list, I'd like to say I'm sorry if I missed out on anyone's list. I'm usually away from the computer over the weekends and I tend to miss out treasuries once in a while. But please do keep creating them. And you can convo the link to me at artbysusmitha if you like. I will try my best to keep up with all the EFA treasuries and post them on here.
I'll first start with Cyn's treasuries. She created one at the main treasury and I managed to get a screen shot of it but unfortunately I was unable to post it before it expired. It was called, "A Little Bit Fabulous". Here's the screen shot for everyone to admire...
And now here's another treasury of her's, but this time it's live and it's absolutely gorgeous!! "Purple... with a touch of teal"
Here's another purple beauty by tejana54. It's called "My Favorite Color In The Box!" After looking at this treasury, that's gonna be everyone's favorite color in the box! ;)
Here's something to go with those purples, a fabulous combination of black and white by endlesswhimsy. It's in honor of EFA's birthday and is called "Gotta Black Magic Birthday".
And here's are two true animal lovers....
hoffmanphotography with a beautiful list "All For The Animals"...
...and PollysPawPrint with another fabulous list"FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS"
And finally, one more in ShaggyChic's continuous series "Bindi's BNR 7 DA BLUES SISTAHS"
And once again, thank you all very much!!
Your treasury hunter...

12th August - get a letter in the post NOW!!
Michele has mentioned this note in her early August newsletter to EFA members and it is worth notifying blog readers too.
Write a snail mail letter (yep, it needs a sheet of paper, an envelope and a stamp - but no more) to this address :-
Lock & Key Productions
C/O Family Casting
P.O.Box 38670
Los Angeles, CA 90038
Angels Gate is trying to get on Extreme Makeover.
Stacey of Stacydotdot on Etsy says :-
"A simple line that you would love to see Susan Marino of Angel's Gate receive an Extreme Home Makeover so that she can better care for these terminally ill animals would be sufficient. The power will come in your ability to throw that line on a piece of paper stick it in a stamped envelope with the address below and put it in your mailbox on exactly Tuesday, August 12TH!"
Please tell all of your friends about this and thank you for helping out the charity!"
You don't need to write a novel - just say you want them on Extreme Makeover! As the advertisement says '
JUST DO IT :-)))))

A cat in need

This is a story of love, a kitty and the lengths to which a loving family will go to help their beloved family member, a kitty called Isabel, live a healthy life.
If you think a cut paw, a small bite or a trip to the vets for an injection is scary for you and your pet, think again. What started out as a straightforward operation to remove a 'foreign body' from her turned into a nightmare of blood transfusions (yes pets DO have them), couriers in the middle of the night and nail biting days of stress and worry.
You can read Isabel's story here but wait - read on here for a moment - please........
Her human Carers are seriously in need of help themselves. Want to guess how much the bill was for pulling Isabel, who they dearly love, back from the brink of death? Go on - guess.... OK How does $6.021.24 sound? Yes, that's it $6,021,25. In UK pounds that's 3,086.28, in Indian Rupees 252,711.36 or New Zealand dollars $8,382.17.
They need help, and here's how YOU can reach out the helping hand one of us might need someday.
Make a donation (click through to Isabel's page for the HOW TO and click the Chip-In button. I did.
If you want to get something back for your hard-earned dollar, buy something from the Etsy shops Isabel's Mum and Dad run Art Riot which does art books, notebooks and fun stuff, and Secret Nerd Brigade - which does really useful pocket tissue holders and needle holder books. If you want to commission a special note book; or buy something useful and help a kitty - NOW would be a good time.
If you are broke, or are simply too desperate yourself to be able to part with any money, send an email message of support HERE. Sometimes, when things look bleak, a few friendly words of encouragement and love make a big difference, they can help you get through a bad day and ease the worries that wake you up in the night.
I hope to have a picture of Isabel to put here soon, in the meantime - check out Isabel's story and her page here. She is doing well.

C is for Cats Cuddling - by EndlessWhimsy

This is a note card with a matte photo of Stoli, my Russian Blue and Luxor, my Egyptian Mau - hugging! This photo was featured on the UK blog Daily Pets and our own Etsy Storque. The photo is printed on professional photo paper and is permanently attached with photo safe craft glue. The photo is signed and dated by moi with black pigment ink that is photo safe, acid free, archival, lightfast and waterproof; in other words - never-gonna-go-away ink!
You may be asking yourself, "why would I want a photo of someone else's cat?" Well, first of all - you must like cats if you are looking at this listing, and if you like cats you gotta realize that getting a shot like this is a 'once in a lifetime shot'. It's hanging on my wall - they had just had a rough-and-tumble then kicked back for some winks.
The photo is attached to a white blank note card (4" by 5 3/8"), made out of premium quality paper that is acid free. Note card comes with a matching white envelope.

We donate 10% of all cat themed purchases to a local feline rescue shelter, HART. The Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a shelter and adoption center for cats that has operated in Cumberland, Maine since 1997. They provide refuge, comfort, and medical attention to cats and kittens that have been surrendered, abandoned, injured, or abused, and find loving homes to adopt them.

Treasuries - cynmb, CrazyHappy, theknottysheep
First of all a HUGE thanks to CrazyHappy for grabbing an all EFA treasury! Every item featured in "Etsy For Animals, YOU can help!" is taken from the EFA store.
There's been a recent bout of "Hahahahahaaaaa" treasuries going around. When I went to Cyn's treasury west, which as always featured the EFA store, I found out that this was part of a "hahahahaha" challenge run by RunAliceRun and JunkyardGypsy. Cyn's treasury is one of the best ones in this challenge! And I'm not saying that only because she's featured EFA in it :)
Kary of theknottysheep has a fantastic policy, she says "Dog first Husband second!!" :D So a treasury from someone as wise as she would definitely be awesome right? Absolutely! :)
And this episode of the treasury hunter chronicles ends. Please support all the EFA treasuries above.
Thank you! :)

C is for "Cherished Bloom Cards" by EnsorcelledMinds
Most of my shop items are C's - CARDS! I made this one with a "C" sentiment for the August Team Challenge. Summer is a popular time for weddings and romance because people are getting out. It's a feel-good, happy time that just makes people want to "C"onnect with each other. I made this set with that in mind.
You can view the item in my Etsy store at:
http://www.etsy.com/view_
50% of the proceeds from the sale of this card will go to the the Canadian Wildlife Federation - the EFA International Charity for August: http://www.cwf-fcf.org/en/
My true passion is fabric because of the endless variety textures and prints but I am hopeless with it! So I turn

Sue/tackyhandmade and El/elephantdance have been working hard to organize the EFA Birthday Bash. This promotion is based on a 20% coupon that can be redeemed from September 15-30. Currently, we have about 60 members that have agreed to accept the coupon - we need more stores to accept the coupon to make this promotion a success.

C is for.....Carp

I make resin jewellery, and use inclusions such as polymer clay fruit, dollshouse miniatures and recycled fabrics. My entry is a miniature pink spotty fish (don't know if it's a trout or a carp, or what particular type of fish it is!) in a circle of clear resin with iridescent beads for bubbles! It comes boxed and on white organza ribbon with clasp to fasten it around your neck.
$2 will be donated to the Retired Greyhound Trust for each item, but if EFA is mentioned with payment, I will donate $4.
I support the Retired Greyhound Trust as they provided a lot of free medical treatment for my adopted greyhound last year before we officially took her in. It is their way of encouraging people to adopt dogs that would otherwise be overlooked at rehoming centres due to the level of veterinary care needed in some cases. She is now happy and healthy, and this is my way of repaying them.

It's Meow or Never - the Auction
An appeal went out some time ago for EFA members to offer contributions for ItsMeoworNever the animal rescue and sanctuary. EFA members responded and make up a good proportion of the quality auction items. Ebay is hosting the official charity auction here and it is WELL worth checking out.
This is not an auction of cast off knick knacks - It is full of practical and useful items. It has a selection of (mostly) EFA donated jewellery, vouchers, tickets, a wonderful selection of dried mixes including restful Lavender, CATNIP! and Dog biscuit mix. There are chances to bid on a professional web page design, candles, bird houses and tropical tans! There is, literally something for everyone and something to suit even the most modest of pockets.
EFA members contributing include, after a quick glance, NanjoDogz, Whskr, DesignbySunzeri.
I would love to credit more EFA sellers who contributed - so if you did - let us know and I will shine the spotlight on you!
OK what are you waiting for Get over HERE and bid!!
