ANiMAL PETiTiONS CORNER by Alicia of WoodsEdge

Presented by Alicia of WoodsEdge

1. Tell eBay to Ditch Foie Gras

Even though Amazon UK and major supermarkets have stopped selling foie gras, which is not produced in Britain, eBay continues to peddle this cruelly produced product.

Please sign the petition urging eBay to take a stand against cruelty by removing foie gras from its site.

2. Help Clean Up Cruelty

Even though the government in the UK promised to ban testing for household cleaning products in 2010, it still hasn't published final plans. Clearly these products can be developed without harming animals, but testing is still being conducted on a variety of species in an effort to get new products on the market.

Please sign the petition asking the government to make good on its promise and ban testing for household products.

3. Protect Lions from Trophy Hunting

Attention has recently been drawn to the problems with trophy hunters killing big cats and has stirred debate about how well populations of animals, such as lions, are actually doing and are drawing attention to the fact that they need more protection. Despite having become extinct in 26 countries, trophy hunters can still kill them.

Please send a letter to the IUCN asking the organization to protect vulnerable species from trophy hunters.
